Individual Accountability

October 2, 2011

Would like to get some comments up here from my readers on how they hold students accountable to the learning of a classroom lesson. A built-in accountability within the CPM curriculum is the Learning Log. Asking all kids to write in their own words and from their own understanding a response to a question regarding that days lesson is one way to hold students accountable for the learning (and give you a formative assessment!!!) If there is not a learning log suggested on any given day you can make up your own or just use the writing prompt: Today I learned…. Collecting these will give you insight to what each student in your class took from the lesson. Ok–share something else that you do in your classroom to hold each student accountable for the learning during class.
